Fran is a storyteller dedicated to uplifting voices and elevating organizations making a difference. With over 15 years of PR experience, she has led media relations to champion public health and influence public policy.

Before starting FBPR, Fran directed public relations at a national maternal and child health organization, where she established best practices for a network of over 270 local agencies to guide local PR efforts.  

Fran guided national press campaigns that resulted in media coverage in top-tier publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, NPR, The Washington Post, USA Today, NBC News and Parents magazine. She sought out national brand and advocacy partnerships to strengthen the impact of communications. Fran ran national and multi-state advocacy press campaigns to increase public funding for healthcare programs and guided PR strategies to boost enrollment.

Media campaigns leveraged storytelling and science to inspire hearts and minds. Published medical research showed the program’s widespread health outcomes and was translated into digestible messages to reach key audiences. Further impact was most significantly illustrated in the powerful stories of mothers. Fran partnered with individuals who have experienced economic and social inequality to uplift their voices and guide them through interview opportunities for print, radio and documentary films. Their stories spotlighted their work with medical providers to improve their health and economic mobility.   

Her career began working on Capitol Hill as a press secretary and legislative advisor. She is passionate about advancing health equity and social change.   

Fran holds a Master of Public Health from the Colorado School of Public Health, and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
